I didn't have the budget for a better screen and more expensive GPU to drive it. There are other factors to consider as well. Also I will be sitting close to the screen 2.5 to 3 feet from the screen. So should I get a 27 inch or do you think I would be happier with a 24.thanks in advance for all your help as always. I can even kick back on my futon (yeah, I have a futon in my office) and still game and watch movies. #21 Yuriman, Apr 3, 2013 moonbogg Diamond Member Joined: Jan 8, 2011 Messages: 8,775 Likes Received: 236 Yuriman said: ↑ I just ordered one.

I'm sure I'll pick one up in the future when the screen+GPU prices come down to mid-range levels. For anything resembling a CG or real life picture, anything below 32 inches, maybe even 40, looks great at 1080p. Location: Canadia Posted September 21, 2015 27 inch 1080 looks bad TO ME, when viewed at normal computer distances (about 1-2.5 feet) but looks just fin if you back up to about 3 or 4 feet. I have a 1440p 27inch, it looks horrible on 1080p. It may not be so severe, but some resizing will occur, which compromises quality.

Perfect gaming monitor. I have good eye vision but still have the tendency to lean into my monitor to get a closer look. Location: Canadia Posted September 21, 2015 Who has their monitor 1 Foot away from them? I can barely fit my monitor and key both within a foot.well less than 2 feet, and sometimes i move in to see something better. But Im here to tell you its not that bad.
